Piedmont Choral Society is our area’s premiere choral organization. The PCS is an auditioned 4-part choir that includes singers from across the community. We average 50 singers. Joseph Judge, associate professor of music at Pfeiffer University, is our director and Dr. Don Simmons is our accompanist. Our mission is to provide high-caliber performances of both sacred and secular choral masterworks with orchestra. We also perform a variety of other music, including an annual fall hymn sing and an all patriotic music series in June.
The success of the Piedmont Choral Society is based upon the faithfulness, diligence and commitment of each member. To join implies the desire to contribute in making great music together with the Director, Accompanist, and your fellow singers and a promise to attend rehearsals and concerts for the entire season.
The PCS season runs September through June.
The Piedmont Choral Society is sponsored in part by a grant from the NC Arts Council and the Cabarrus Arts Council.
